The Liebster Award

I was nominated by Jade Cary for The Liebster Award.  Here are rules, stolen verbatim from Jade Cary's blog (who stole them verbatim from Ana Vitsky's blog):

When one receives the award, one posts 11 random facts about oneself and answers the 11 questions asked by the person who nominated you.

Pass the award onto 11 other blogs (while making sure one notifies the blogger that one nominated them!)

Soooo - here are my 11 fun facts:

1. I was almost 30 before I came out of the spanking closet.
2. I now wish I had a "spanking closet" or designated area in my house for spankings to occur.
3. Growing up, I hated to read.  Now, I read at least one new book each week.
4. When I was little, I thought the coolest job ever was a cashier.  I realize this dream (and how utterly wrong my impression of it was) when I was 15.
5. I live on a island thousands of miles away from where I grew up.
6. When given a choice between red and white, I always choose red. 
7. The most challenging thing I've ever done (and am still doing) is motherhood.
8. The most rewarding thing I've ever done (and am still doing) is motherhood.
9. Before starting bottomsupbookreview, I tried writing spanking stories, but never had the nerve to publish.  My hat's off to the authors out there.
10. I wish I had more time (and a little more motivation) to keep up with my site these days.
11. I am nominating 8 bloggers to try out the Liebster Award, but I am guessing that I won't get 8 (or any?) takers.

And here are my answers to Jade's 11 questions:

1. What famous person needs to be spanked, and who (also famous) should do the spanking?
   
   Lindsay Lohan.  Everytime you think she's going to make a comeback, she goes ahead and effs it all up.  Now for the spanker....  hmmm, I'm going to have to recommend Michael Madsen.  I bet he can deliver exactly what she needs and more.
   
   
   
2. Do you have tattoos or piercings?
   
   Yep.  I think you'd be more hardpressed in this day and age to find someone who doesn't.
   
   
   
3. What is your all-time favorite spanking scene in a book or movie/TV show? Describe it in as much detail as you can.

   Me?  Never.  Really.  Not once.
   
   
   
5. What are you reading now?
   
   I am re-reading Alta Hensley's "Of Yesterday" in hopes of posting my first rewiew in over a month. You may have noticed that I am in a bit of a slump and need a little motivation to get back to posting spanking book reviews on a more regular basis.
   
   
   
6. What do you wish you could do that you can't? 
   
   Teleportation.  I really wish I could travel thousands of miles in the blink of an eye.  In the absense of this invention, I would like to be able to speak Spanish.
   
   
   
7. If you could invite six people to dinner, who would they be?
   
   Probably my closest friends who are now separated by entire continents. 
   
   
   
8. What are you most afraid of? 
   
   I don't think I am "most" afraid of anything. I guess I am afraid of something that could threaten my family and way of life.  I live in an area where a natural disaster such as a hurricane or tsunami is capable of wiping out everything I hold dear and changing my life forever.  So, I guess that would be my biggest fear.  
   
   
   
9. In a disaster, list three things you would not leave the house without (excluding loved ones and pets).
   
   Hmmmm, the practical gal in me would need essentials (food/water, matches, tent).  If I were to take what I spend the most time with, it would be my kindle, my phone, and my boys' legos. 
   
   
   
10. Do you REALLY turn off your cell phone when the flight attendant asks?
    
    Almost always. 
    
    
    
11. Where is the most unusual place you've made love. 
    
    Hmmm, interesting question.  I guess this would have to be skinny dipping under the moonlight in the Caribbean.

    My current one.
